HECM LoansHECM loans or ( Home Equity Conversion Mortgage ) is a reverse mortgage intended so seniors can enjoy the life they deserve by using the equity they have worked so hard for. The federal government or the FHA offers guaranteed programs as well as some reverse mortgage lenders that offer HECM loans.
Proceeds from HECM loans can be disbursed as a one time lump sum or as monthly installment payments. You can also set up a line of credit which for some is very convenient. Of course you will want to discuss this with your reverse mortgage lenders as well as other aspects of HECM loans.
